Now more than ever, businesses are looking to the cloud to enable agility, scalability and simplicity. What is needed is a solution with the scale, flexibility and transparency to enable IT to provision new services quickly and cost-effectively by using Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to address IT requirements and policies, meet the demands of high utilization and dynamically respond to change, in addition to providing security and high performance.
Organizations, like Musicnotes and the City of Minneapolis, have realized firsthand the benefits of ReliaCloud, and we’re sharing their stories here.
Four51 Storefront is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution that was built for B2B distributors and manufacturers. To continue their focus on B2B and their dedication to a zeroinstall, cloud-based delivery model, Four51 knew they needed to expand capabilities for the Four51 Storefront platform beyond their four walls by taking a cost-effective approach.
Here’s how it happened: The journey began with a well-constructed, in-depth total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis. OneNeck worked with Four51 to identify and weigh the value of TCO variables when considering a hardware refresh or move to the cloud.
Based on these findings, OneNeck recommended, ReliaCloud, our hosted private cloud platform, to host their SaaS applications and meet their 100% uptime requirements.
As the world leader in downloadable sheet music, Musicnotes offers the best selection of 100% officially licensed and legal arrangements, covering all major instruments for musicians of every skill level. To maintain their ongoing customer relationships providing a top-of-class e-commerce experience as well as innovative tools and applications. They have been able to continue delivering on this promise by leveraging their reliable state-of- the-art, “always available” and “always secure” ReliaCloud environment, Musicnotes knew its mission-critical, world-facing site needed to be housed on IT infrastructure promising highavailability, stability and performance.
Here’s how it happened: Musicnotes conducted a competitive selection process with several vendors providing input for the project. The OneNeck solution included our enterprise grade, highly available and high-performing Infrastructure as a Service platform, ReliaCloud, that would run Musicnotes.com’s e-commerce site.
For Milwaukee county, enabling an agile and elastic service model to support IT innovation and digital transformation was paramount. And, like all local governments, the County is always seeking ways to better serve its citizens while operating within a tight budget.
Here’s how it happened: The County conducted a competitive selection process with several vendors providing input. The most important factors weighed in the decision included: selecting a provider who could demonstrate competency in migrating data centers to cloud-based solutions, ability to provide stability, risk reduction and cost effectiveness.
The OneNeck solution included our enterprise-grade, highly-available and high-performing Infrastructure as a Service platform, ReliaCloud. ReliaCloud was leveraged to run the County’s production workloads in our OneNeck data center facility located in Madison, WI while development/test workloads and disaster recovery is housed in a secondary OneNeck data center in Eden Prairie, MN.
With the OneNeck solution in place, the County could avoid the high costs associated with modernizing old systems and free their IT staff to focus on County business instead of keeping the lights on.
Running the City of Minneapolis’ infrastructure requires a complex enterprise network with customized software for each government department and agency.
Here’s how it happened: After issuing a comprehensive RFP for outsourced IT services, the City of Minneapolis selected OneNeck out of a field of 18 prospective partners to handle this comprehensive list of services. The City chose OneNeck because of the company’s track record in dealing with large customers making complex transitions, as well as the projected cost savings, experience-backed Service Level Agreements (SLAs), flexibility and extensive cloud services.
Because of OneNeck’s comprehensive hybrid IT service offerings, OneNeck had all of the resources needed to manage the City of Minneapolis’ computing infrastructure. OneNeck provided colocation services, managed services for networking equipment such as routers, switches and firewalls across 70 locations. Also provided was data hosting using OneNeck’s’ ReliaCloud to support more than 250 servers with 180 terabytes of data, including dedicated servers for nonvirtualized assets.
“Their ability to meet our objective for fast, flexible provisioning of services is only one of the reasons why the City selected OneNeck”
Former CIO, City of Minneapolis
